One of these is the Oldest Pub in the UK
Across the course of my adult life, I have come across several pubs each claiming to be the oldest in the UK. 'On this spot in 1355, the first pub was opened for business', says one sign. 'The discovery of fire and the concept of changing money for alcohol happened right here in 500AD', on another. 'Amoeba crawled out of ocean and ordered a Guinness here over 2 Billion years ago' etc. Here is my Guide to all of those pubs in the UK who claim to be the most ancient. You decide - because they can't seem too.
